Notes: My first fics in the Sherlock-fandom - and a language to match this. It started as something completely different, but ended up being this and the relationships shown here have become my head!canon. Sadly the future prospects as well.

Warnings and ratings? I'm never good with this. It's a series about addiction and, even more so, co-addiction. So be aware of that when you start reading.

Summary for the series: Some years ago John gave Sherlock the ultimatum "It's me or the drugs", unfortunately Sherlock picked the drugs. When Sherlock finds out that Mary died in cancer he comes back and John has to make the decision of whatever or not to get involved again.

Potential prologue, written much later from pieces I scribbled during lectures before this series happened.

Slipping through our fingers
Sherlock’s not pleased with John moving out of Baker Street, but he’ll be damned to admit it!

Notes: This is, partly, the very first thing I wrote about Sherlock. It never got finished back then since The Muse took off in a totally different direction. Because of that I’m pretty sure this is the prologue to Who’s letting who down?, taking place six years before that series begins.

Note: This is the fourth, and last, part in the series, recently named, Who's letting who down?. The name of this part is a quote from Peter Medawar, a British immunologist, which is more famous as the miss-quote: "a piece of nucleic acid surrounded by bad news".

If there is going to be another Sherlock fic, I hope it's going to be a happier one.

Summary: At the hospital, watching Sherlock until Mycroft can get off work, John take the opportunity to run a series of tests to establish Sherlock's health status after his years of drug abuse.

Note: This was never supposed to be more than just a single fic (New circumstances), but I can't leave things with open endings. I'm too curious not to work out what happens.

Note: I needed to find out what happened after Sherlock got into the car in New circumstances, unfortunately it was this.

Summary:
After a meeting with Mycroft John wonders if he has the conscience to walk away again or strength to re-enter a co-addiction

Note: First non-academic thing I’ve written in English for years that wasn’t a translation from Swedish, so I apologise if the language is a bit off. Also, I have no idea how to do with the ratings, Sweden stopped doing this all together on January 1 this year and even before that we didn’t do it much…so please help me with that.

Summary: Sherlock comes to visit John even though John told him not to bother if he didn’t get himself clean over two years ago.

Beta-thanks: Huge thanks to
[livejournal.com profile] albalark for the spelling- and grammar check, the suggestions, but mostly for the punctuation (or commauation?) lesson.
