Notes: My fic for this year's Asexy April. It wasn't the fic I was planning to write, but alas, April was too short. I promise to have that one done over the summer.

Summary: He just needed a break, some air, some distance from… people.

Note: My story for this year’s Asexy April. It’s a mash-up of five different asexy kink meme prompts I’ve saved over the course of the two years I’ve been in fandom. Due to time the fic isn't betaed yet, but I'm working on it.

Some conversations are lifted straight from canon with the help of [livejournal.com profile] arianedevere’s wonderful transcripts.

Summary: Everyone seemed to assume that Molly was in love with Sherlock Holmes, and it was so much easier to go along with it than to correct people.

Notes: I came into this fandom through [livejournal.com profile] asexy_sherlock and this project was my first contribution to that community.

It's also the first time I got The Ark-carzy in this fandom. The title of the series and all the chapters' names are all borrowed from The Ark's song Let your body decide.

Warnings and ratings? When I posted this at the community I rated it 15+, but I don't like that anymore. It's a series about struggling with sexuality and drugs, you be the judge.

Notes II: This series was more or less re-written in May 2012 (originally posted in August 2011) because I liked the idea but not the execution of it. If you really want the older one (which I highly doubt), I'm sorry, it's not here anymore. Many thanks to [livejournal.com profile] laurtew for helping me make it better.

Summary for the series: Sherlock struggle to fit into (and understand himself) in an over sexual society after discovering early on that sex with a woman isn't what popular culture had made him believe. But what if sex with men isn't any better than sex with a woman?

Part 1:  Am I straight?

Part 2:  Or gay?

Part 3:  Is it right to feel this way?

Part 4:  Will I be happy one day?

Part 5:  Everything must be unsteady on the first go-round.

Alternative sequel, a prompt fill that used this series as "background information".

Confusing or not, it's all fine
.
After identifying as asexual for many years, Sherlock is both confused and disturbed by his sexual feelings towards John.

Notes: I usually don’t like to portray Molly like this, but hey, I’ve been in her shoes and I hope it doesn’t make me an airhead. Inspired by En svår och jobbig grej by Lars Winnerbäck.

Summary: How Molly earned the “married to my work”-speech.

Notes: Written for this prompt at the kink meme. Thought it was interesting, hadn't heard anything about it before.

Summary: Sherlock wears a black ring on his right, middle finger. John is the first to ask why.

Notes: Jisses, twice in one day? I need a bit more of a life I guess. Written for this prompt at the kink meme asking for a demisexual Sherlock. I wrote this as if it was the, I dunno, epilogue of Let your body decide. It's as if that series is Sherlock's back story, but more because I needed to have a back story to him than anything else.

Summary: After identifying as asexual for many years, Sherlock is both confused and disturbed by his sexual feelings towards John.

Notes: Re-written in May 2012.

Summary: Like so many others living outside of the society norm, Sherlock has come to terms with the fact that he might very well be alone his whole life. Then John comes along and tells him otherwise.

Everything must be unsteady on the first go-round. )

Notes: Re-worked in May 2012.

Summary: Sherlock finally get it right, unfortunately most other parts of his life are wrong.

Will I be happy one day? )

Note: Re-worked in May 2012. Sherlock's nickname for Rainflower is inspired by a stupid Swedish song from the early -90th called Tess. One line of the song goes "Jag vet vad hon heter, men jag kallar henne Tess" ("I know her name, but I call her Tess").

Summary: Sherlock does his best to get comfortable with his new sexual identity, but somehow it doesn't fit either.

Is it right to feel this way? )

Note: Re-written in May 2012.

Summary: Most sex people have is not for reproductive purposes, so not wanting to have sex with women as a man isn't all that biologically off. But what if sex with men isn't any better than sex with a woman? What if nothing fits?

Or gay? )

Note: Re-worked in May 2012.

Summary: Sherlock discovers early on that sex with a woman isn't what popular culture had made him believe, but of course, popular culture had more wrongs than rights. As a young man Sherlock was supposed to want sex 26 h a day, so when he doesn't, where does it leave him?

Am I straight? )
