Madeleine’s distress over Sherlock going on the doomed mission was so heartbreaking. There’s no way she or Mycroft wouldn’t check up on Sherlock and give him all the help he needs on his mission, but even then it would have been so dangerous, and the chance of him dying so high...terrifying.
