another new reader of your work here; read this one and just had to go read your earlier piece and then come back here for another reread and now comment. these both are really excellent looks at the looming acd compliant issue of sherlock's substance use troubles. tying it into john's history of his sibling's woes and using it to show mycroft in a softer way too really are nice touches. and your phrasing and imagery is lovely, yet the angst still pushes through. great job!
